Margaritaville Beach Resort Playa Flamingo Costa Rica is a small, family friendly resort with an option for an all inclusive plan. Join me on a resort tour:

Flamingo Beach is considered one of the better beaches in the Guanacaste area. It was fun to see white sand after the last two resorts had black sand beaches.

Things you might like:

  • Small size - Nothing felt crowded or too busy.
  • Good beach - Beautiful beach area
  • Friendly staff - Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our favorite guy was Jorge - the only bellman
  • Four dining options onsite

Things you might not like:

  • This is a simple, small, friendly resort. No foam parties or DJs
  • Food was always fresh and hot, but not gourmet
  • Rooms are simple

Tips for your stay

  • Book the sunset cruise on their private yacht. It's a great trip with snorkeling and snacks and drinks.
  • If you like mojitos, order the Green Monster at the swim up bar. It's a frozen passion fruit mojito.
  • Take a trip to the Potrero Brewery. It was $30 round trip with a taxi set up at the hotel. We enjoyed the beers and the three food trucks.
  • Get the all inclusive plan. For our stay, the all inclusive plan was an additional $80 per person. Our first lunch was $65 per person so we definitely got our money's worth.

Did you watch all three Costa Rica tours? What did you think? Which resort would you visit?
