Yesterday I returned from a week in Ireland. Avanti Destinations chose eight travel agents from the across the United States to experience the northern portion of the Wild Atlantic Way. My trip was sponsored. I was not asked to write or produce anything. I fell in love with this area of Ireland and was excited each day to document what I experienced.

We covered about half of it. We almost reached Galway before heading back to Dublin. We also dipped into Northern Ireland. The goal of the trip was to explore this area that isn't typical on escorted tours. We visited hotels, took tours, and explored the rugged coast.

Each day, I edited a short one to two minute video giving the highlights of the day:

Day 1 - We were off and running! We landed at 7:40 am local time and got dropped off at the hotel at 9:10 pm - after flying all night.

Day 2 - We visited Monasterboic and Cabra Castle Hotel, learned about Druid culture during the Iron Ages at Navan Center, and sampled apple cider at Armagh Cider Company.
Armagh is in Northern Ireland - part of the United Kingdom. In the video I say, we crossed from the EU into the UK. Right now, the UK is still in the EU, but that may change over the next few weeks.

Day 3 - We visited Lough Eske Castle Hotel, Glenveagh National Park and Castle , and Sliev League - Europe's largest accessible sea cliffs.

Day 4 - I called this day "Sheep Dogs and Shorelines" because those were my favorite moments.

Day 5 - We visited hotels in Westport, toured the Westport House, and explored Achill Island.

Day 6 - We visited Killarey Fjord, Kylemore Abbey, Abbyglen Castle, Ballynahinch Castle, and Ashford Castle.

Day 7 - We made our way back to Dublin. The video shows our last few stops and my final thoughts.
