Kid Friendly Europe: Excursions in Naples

Naples, Italy has so much for families. You can experience the history of Pompeii, the gorgeous sites of the Amalfi Coast, visit Capri or hike Mt Vesuvius.

Tour: Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri for Families-From the marina take a 60-minute jet boat ride to Capri, enjoy an Italian ice before setting sail to Faraglioni Rocks and the Marina Piccola. Afterwards head to Sorrento to shop and enjoy lunch on your own. After lunch the tour continues to Pompeii for a 90 minute visit. The tour finishes up at a cameo factory before heading back to Naples

Duration: 9.5 to 10 hours

Tour: The Hidden Treasures of Herculaneum- Tour the ancient Roman city of Herculaneum that was enshrouded in hot gas, ash, and rock when Mt. Vesuvius erupted. Finish the trip with a tour of a local cameo shop before heading back to the ship.

Duration: 4 to 4.5 hours

Ages 5 and up

Tour: Stunning Sorrento and Amalfi Coast Drive (w/ Youth Activity)- You will take a guided tour  of Corso Italia while your children learn to make pizza. Afterwards reunite with your children for lunch before you head to the villages of Amalfi, Maiori and Vietri Sul Mare.

Duration: 9 to 9.5 hours

Ages 10 and up

Tour: Mt. Vesuvius Hike and Pompeii- After leaving the ship take a 45 minute drive up to Mt. Vesuvius and upon arrival hike to the volcano’s crater. After the hike take a motor coach to Pompeii for some free time and lunch before enjoying a guided tour of the city.
