Renassiance Aruba - Marina Hotel and Ocean Suites

Thanks to Aruba Tourism Authority for sponsoring my visit and this site inspection.

Renaissance Aruba is split into two separate areas: Marina Hotel and Ocean Suites. You can add on an all-inclusive option. The hotel is located right in downtown Oranjestad close to shopping and restaurants. For a beach, the resort takes you by boat to a private island about 15 minutes away. 

The Marina Tower rooms are adults only and located close to the luxury mall. The casino is open 24 hours. they host special events like pool parties and feature a DJ at happy hour. 

The Ocean Suites are a seven minute walk from the Marina Tower. It's a family resort with a casino. A live band plays at happy hour. The rooms all have king beds with pull out sofas. A supervised kids' club is available for an extra fee and babysitting is available. The Ocean Suites have a small, man-made cove beach area.

The private island is open 7 am - 7 pm. Boats depart every 15 minutes. Each side has their own dock. The Flamingo beach is adults only. The Iguana beach is the family side with the restaurant and souvenir shop. Beautiful overwater cabanas are available for $150 per day for the small and $200 per day for the large.

Holiday Inn Aruba

The Holiday Inn Aruba is a family resort on Palm Beach. It has three towers: Palm, Ocean and Sea. An all-inclusive option can be added for an additional fee. The resort has special shows on Wednesday and Saturday.  All rooms have balconies.

Important to know: 

• Sea tower has an adult pool with free cabanas. People come at 4 am to reserve them. Hopefully, in the future, a reservation system will be in place.  
• Sea tower is next to a loud bar until 1 am.
• Palapas are given out at 345 pm by lottery for the next day. The resort has 115 palapas and 590 rooms. 
• Beach service is available for food and drinks.

Amsterdam Manor Aruba

Thanks to the Aruba Tourism Authority for sponsoring my trip and this site inspection. 

Amsterdam Manor is a quaint 72 room hotel across the street from the beach. All rooms gave a bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. 

Wifi is included. Pets are welcome for a small additional fee per night. The manager hosts a cocktail reception and live entertainment on Thursday nights. 

The hotel has several options to include meals from just breakfast up to all inclusive.
