Beloved Playa Mujeres is a boutique all-inclusive resort with
109 suites in 3 story low rise buildings in the exclusive area of Playa
Mujeres. The resort is about 25 minutes
from the airport and a little isolated. You’d have to arrange a private
transfer if you wanted to go a local town or book an excursion. The vibe is
quiet and zen.
Children are allowed. The resort has a kids’ club for
younger kids. This would not be a good fit for kids older than 9 or 10.
Pools
The resort offers many suites with a private plunge pool
plus pools throughout the resort. Pool service is available for drinks and
food. Cabanas at the pool or on the beach are available to rent for approximately
$65 per day. Umbrellas provide shade.
Beach
The beach is sheltered by Isla Mujeres so it’s gorgeous - no
rocks and no seaweed.
Restaurants
The resort has 4 restaurants and a la carte is available for
breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ten wines
are included by the glass and a natural juice bar offers healthy options.
Don’t miss: 12 course breakfast
Activities
The resort is quiet so the activities tend to be athletic:
yoga, pilates or low impact aerobics.
The Spa offers a 21 step hydrotherapy
treatment for $45. Spa services are available for pre-booking and you may
qualify for a discount by pre-booking.
Don’t miss: The bicycle tour of town
Rooms
The smallest room is 960 square feet up to the Penthouse
suites with over 4,000 square feet. My favorite room category is the Two Level
Casitas with a private plunge pool on the terrace.
Overall, this is a quiet, calm upscale boutique resort. It’s a great option for families with small
children who still crave that zen quiet environment or for a group with adults
only couples and couples with small kids.
